The panorama of young architects based in Brussels is very varied: many have studied abroad, many come from dierent parts of Europe or the world, some combine belgian partners with non-belgian ones. Some of these ones focus on a context-specific market (i.e. renovations), some operate between Belgium and neighbouring countries, others focus on competitions or on mediums other- than-architecture such as publications, magazines and research.
In fact, Brussels is a city that could be seen as a petri-dish for a broader European context. Such diversity makes Brussels one of the most attractive cities for architects among European capitals and a testing ground for the whole Europe.
This curatorial project intends to highlight and systematise the great diversity of production, thoughts and practices that emerged in the recent years in Belgium, and in particular in Brus- sels. Our aim is to dissect this complexity by individuating some thematic areas - such as edu- cation, competitions and regulation landscape, social media, etc - through which collect and organise information from each invited practice.
Next to this, the individual work of each participant will be shown through models, publications or videos.
